We flew FIREBall twice. The first time ended up being an engineering flight in July of 2007 from Palestine, TX. You can watch the video of the flight data here. Dustin Lang also put it through astronmetry.net so you can watch everything swing around wildly and occasionally identify some stars. Please stop laughing, it is unprofessional.
Here is a video of our second launch from Fort Sumner, NM in the summer of 2009. Balloon launches are pretty spectacular, and involve and awful lot of waiting. They are strangely peaceful and slow moving for the fact that you’re throwing almost 10,000 lbs of equipment up into the air.
